SENSORS & RELAY

Capacitive soil moisture sensors IREL HS

IREL HS capacitive soil moisture sensors are based on the effect of the dependence of the measuring probe capacitance on the properties of the environment.
The sensors can be used in automatic control systems based on the IREL MASTER controller to regulate soil moisture or water levels in various reservoirs.
The sensors are made of waterproof materials, which allows their use underground or in an aquatic environment.
The output signal range from 0 to 3.0 V is compatible with the input ranges of most microprocessors.
In combination with IREL VB valve relay boards, the sensors can be used in irrigation systems controlled by timer controllers. This combination blocks watering of a certain zone if the soil is already wet. It also turns off the valve in the middle of the cycle when the moisture sensor reaches the desired moisture level.

Relay Boards IREL VB

IREL VB relay boards are used to control irrigation from traditional timer controllers, and can be used to control pumps and other process equipment.
An alternating voltage of 24V is supplied to the board input, which is passed to the output depending on the state of the IREL HS sensor or any other sensor with an output range of 0..3V DC.

The threshold of the relay board (pass threshold) is set by a variable resistor.
